Dry Needling
Targeted muscle release. Backed by evidence.
When muscles tighten and won’t let go, sometimes your body needs more than hands-on pressure.
Dry needling is a precise technique that uses fine, sterile needles to help release tight muscle fibres and restore healthy movement patterns.
At Rapid Recovery, dry needling is performed by:
- AHPRA-registered Osteopaths, and
- Qualified Myotherapists and Remedial Massage Therapists trained in this technique.
It’s one of the tools our practitioners may use to support pain relief, recovery, and improved performance — depending on what’s right for you.
What is Dry Needling?
Dry needling involves inserting fine needles into specific points within the muscle (known as trigger points or tension bands)
The aim is to:
-
Encourage a natural muscle release response
-
Support circulation and recovery
-
Help ease movement restrictions
-
Assist with long-term muscle conditioning
The needles are single-use, sterile, and inserted only into soft tissue — not veins or joints.
